समाजातील वंध्यत्वाची वाढती समस्या आणि आयुर्वेद भाग १

एके दिवशी क्लिनिक मध्ये तन्वी नावाची (नाव बदललेले आहे) पेशंट आली होती. काय त्रास होतो? असे विचारल्यानंतर ढसाढसा रडायला लागली. पाणी प्यायला देऊन थोडी सांत्वना केली पण रडणे थांबत नव्हते. शेवटी सोबत आलेल्या तिच्या ‘श्री’ ने (पतीने) सांगण्यास सुरुवात केली, अहो डॉक्टर, घरात – ऑफिसमध्ये – बस स्टॉपच्या मैत्रिणींच्या ग्रुपमध्ये – ट्रेनमध्ये – सगळीकडे ‘ तुमच्या लग्नाला ३-४ वर्ष झाले, याला झाले त्यालाही  झाले, आता तुम्हाला बाळ कधी होणार ?’ असे सतत विचारत असतात. कंटाळा आला हो या विचारण्याचा, नकोसे झाले आहे आता.

तन्वीला ‘PCOD’ नावाचा रोग असल्याची व श्रीला शुक्राणूंची कमतरता असल्याचे डॉक्टरांनी सांगितले होते. तेव्हापासून अनेक ठिकाणी ट्रीटमेंट करून काहीही उपयोग होत नव्हता. आणि शेवटी आयुर्वेदाने काही होईल का म्हणून ते दोघे माझ्याकडे आले होते. प्रथम त्यांना थोडा धीर दिला, थोडा विश्वास दिला व नंतर समजावण्यास सुरुवात केली. वंध्यत्व ही गोष्ट खूप गुंतागुंतीची आहे.आपल्याला मूल होणार कि नाही याची शाश्वती कोणीही देऊ शकत नाही. काही गोष्टी देवाने किंवा निसर्गाने म्हणा त्याच्या हाती राखून ठेवल्या आहेत. आता आपल्या हातातील गोष्टी कोणत्या यावर विचार करणे जास्त चांगले, होय की नाही? आपण यावर काय करू शकतो याचा विचार जास्ती महत्वाचा. जे प्रश्न आपण सोडवू शकतो, ज्याची उत्तरे मिळू शकतात ,अशात आपण बसतो का ? हे पाहावे. PCOD व शुक्राणूंची कमी हे काही आयुर्वेदाला सोडवण्यासाठी मोठे प्रोब्लेम नाहीत.........................................

Introduction

Definition
Incapability of the woman to conceive, after one year of regular sexual union without contraceptives, or to retain the fetus till childbirth is called as infertility.

According to Ayurveda, Conception takes place due to healthy sperm, healthy ovum, healthy uterus, proper time, and proper diet/nutrition.  For both men and women, reproductive health depends on the health of the shukra dhatu, or reproductive system.
